From there, high-resolution 3D printing ensures consistent, millimeter-true accuracy across the surface, while the open lattice provides 360° airflow that flushes heat and moisture for cooler, drier sitting.

AIREZ 2.0 Cushion
3D-printed cushion using the Golden Ration, a proprietary blend of soft, medium, and firm elastomer fibers in a single multi-density lattice. This precision-engineered design delivers targeted pressure relief, strength, and postural stability while maintaining long-term shape and comfort.
The hydrophobic material allows fluids to pass through rather than absorb, with a built-in collection tray that prevents leaks, even when tilted or reclined, and cleans easily.
Customizable pressure-relief zones can be tailored for individual protection and comfort, reducing the risk of pressure injury.
AIREZ Original Back Support
3D-printed from a proprietary high-strength nylon, providing exceptional durability, flexibility, and precision.
Using a shape capture scan app, each back is custom-tailored to the individual’s anatomy, defining exact areas for added relief and targeted support to address postural asymmetries, rib humps, and other gibbous deformities.
Made with the same open cell design as the AIREZ 2.0 cushion, 360° airflow flushes heat and moisture for cooler, drier sitting.
Integrated T-nuts can be placed directly into the shell for attaching postural supports such as chest straps, laterals, and headrests.

Matrix Seating USA's PROTEUS line of cushions and back supports require no scanning technology. Using key body measurements taken by a therapist or ATP, each cushion is custom-built to the individual’s dimensions. This method removes the need for technology in the field, offering flexibility and ease of use, though precision may vary slightly due to differences in human measurement techniques.
PROTEUS Elastomer Cushions
Delivers the same custom benefits of AIREZ technology through a simplified Tailored by Number approach.
PROTEUS elastomer cushion utilizes the proprietary Golden Ratio blend of soft, medium, and firm elastomer fibers in a single multi-density lattice, delivering targeted pressure relief, strength, and postural stability while maintaining maximum airflow.
PROTEUS Foam Cushions
Polyurethane (PU) open cell foam: porous, cellular structure that is compressive and breathable and allows for a soft, comfortable end feel.
Posture+ for more aggressive contouring for clients with more postural and skin protection needs
Relief+ for more immersive properties for skin protection
Optional ultra gel insert at pelvic well. Ultra gel is a zero rebound gel that allows for near perfect shock absorption and is impervious to the cold.
